We believe in the importance and power of prayer.
Philippians 4:6 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
The Bible encourages us to approach God in prayer, regularly and expectantly. We can pray for our needs, for others, and for God's will to be done. We can bring anything to God, from daily concerns to bigger worries.
In the prayer known as the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ Jesus encouraged His followers to pray in these words, which may be familiar to you:
‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours. Now and forever. Amen.’
Prayer Circle
A group of parishioners will uphold your prayer request.
Prayer may be requested prayer for yourself or for someone else.
Confidentiality and privacy is respected.
Parish Prayer Project
Four parishioners are prayed for each week. This list requires the parishioner’s permission. We remember them in prayer during the week. There does not have to be any reason to pray for them. We pray just because they are a fellow brother or sister in Christ.
Wednesday Prayer Group
Wednesdays 9.30am – 10am in the church
A regular weekly prayer time to intentionally pray to God for this parish specifically about the parish finances, our outreach goals, and other ministry needs.
As parish, local, and world events unfold, the prayers offered vary to suit those needs.
The prayers offered are unscripted, from the heart, and audible.
If you would like to join this Prayer group, please talk to Rev. Claudia.
