Everyone has questions. We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask  questions and share their point of view;  wherever they are in the world.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, running over ten weeks.

Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.

There are three key things: food, a talk and good conversation.

The Alpha Course is currently running on Sundays  1pm - 3pm

Everyone is welcome

Testimonials from  previous St Paul's Alpha participants:

From 'SR':

I was raised in a Christian home and attended church regularly. Sadly, over time I lost my way however, having returned to the faith some 2 years ago, my curiosity and interest was piqued when the ALPHA promotional video was played at church.

  • Could this be what I needed to renew my faith and re-explore Christianity, refreshing some of the fundamentals, and committing to taking my relationship with God and Jesus to a higher level.

Like many of the participants in the promotional video, I did not know what to expect - my husband and I decided to register for the course and we were not disappointed.

Our Alpha Group was a small one, and being the only couple in the group was unique – a great relationship strengthener. The group dynamics soon evolved from being “relative strangers” with barriers to being a cohesive support group – a SAFE ZONE where everyone was free to share in, and experience Gods love and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The leadership, support and guidance of Claudia (our minister) and others was amazing – there was the freedom to explore concepts and share personal experiences without judgement. Course videos and other resources were of a very high standard, and very relevant to the world and times that we live in today.

I must also mention too, the lunches that were shared together every week – simply amazing. A big thank you to also the cooks who toiled to provide us with these offerings.

ALPHA has indeed given me the tools and resources to renew and strengthen my relationship with Jesus, through the Holy Spirit.

For me, this is an ongoing journey and I encourage everyone, no matter where you are in your personal journey as a Christian, to participate in an ALPHA Course. It is truly life changing – PRAISE THE LORD.

From 'DR':

Hi, my name is David and I attended ALPHA over the last 11 weeks, hosted by Claudia (our minister).

I thought that it was going to be a confronting experience, being the only male, but that wasn’t the case …. or maybe just a little.

ALPHA takes you out of your comfort zone. I grew up in a Christian home and would have regarded myself as a Christian by name but ALPHA has definitely given me a new perspective on being a child of God and what is expected of me. Definitely a work in progress.

ALPHA has been a positive experience and I would recommend it if you want to find out more, and to have a relationship with Jesus.
